It's been awhile since you heard from me... but summer is coming, my new album is released TODAY, and my first ever European tour begins next month! Eight hours ago, my 3rd double-CD with 40 tracks on 2 discs about peace, love, humanity, the environment, and of course, some silly comedy too, went on sale for only $10 on http://www.elipsus.net - and if you happen to stop by and pick up your copy this weekend (before Midnight on Sunday), it will be personally signed by me, because I happen to be at the studio right now and will be mailing them out myself!

MY FAMILY...

Hello everyone :)

The title is borrowed from John Lennon's famous campaign for kids to "eat their greens". Awesome.

I hope you are doing really well :) I have two new singles from the forthcoming album "The Road" for you today. The first is a tribute to John Lennon, and the song that was one of the reasons I first decided to become a musician. The second is an upbeat and emotional love song called "Before You Go" with some of my favourite harmonies that I've ever recorded. I also have a confession to make: you've supported me so much lately, I'm depressed by all of you. No, wait! I meant, im-pressed! Sorry, it was a slip of the tongue, but not a Freudian slip, by any means. Would you like to see another "slip" of the tongue? Come over here. ;)

I NEED YOUR HELP

Thank you all, to those of you who have seen me live in the last few months... the 2010 "Road" tour has been the most successful yet! I really appreciate it! However, due to some issues in promotion, there is a chance that all of the shows from September 8th - December 25th (125 shows or so) will have to be cancelled. I am hoping that will not be the case. In order for it not to be the case, I need a couple of things to go my way, and one of those things is that I need a gang of new promoters to help me... the behind-the-scenes workload is just too great for me and my current people to handle.

So... I am asking you very kindly and emphatically to please e-mail me privately ( ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM ) and let me know you're interested in helping me - even for just 5 mins a week - spread my music of peace and love around the world, and in keeping the tour going. Without a lot more help, it may not carry on this year. But I will do everything in my power to make sure it does, and unless you hear from me otherwise, assume that the tour will go all the way through December as planned. Anyone who does join promo gets to receive intimate behind the scenes pic-blogs by text (to phone or email) from my tour :) Although you will get very tired of looking at me very quickly (as many of my exs did), and will much prefer the animal, food and scenery pix.

TIME TO LET THE BIG BOYS (AND GIRLS) KNOW WE'RE HERE

We're approaching 100,000 fans now (although the Drive To 95 will fall just short by the end of the summer), so it's time for a mass orgy. Oh wait, did I say that out loud? No, I meant, so it's time to start letting the people in the music business know we're here. (Calls Simon Cowell). No luck there. Apparently if I'm not willing to rip off other people's songs, Not because we need their help, neccessarily, but because they may need ours... before brand names and commercialism completely take over the contemporary mainstream music scene. If you know any record label employees, any top notch promoters & managers, or any radio & TV people that would be interested in what I'm doing, please let them know about me, and/or send me their information to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM

Basically, what I am doing is this: playing for free and sleeping in my car all over North America, and sometimes Europe, and singing songs of peace and love and hope, in an attempt to help save the environment and promote peace and tolerance and equality and fairness and human rights. I live completely off the CD sales, as well as tips and donations, and if you've seen my show, you know it's quite an experience, in both a comical sense and also in terms of emotive and thought-provoking introspection into who we are, what we are doing, and where we are going. I would love your help. I would not love your "hep". But I would love your "help". See how much difference an "L" can make?

There will be three factors that determine which 150 cities in North America Fox will perform in next year. Last year it was 300, this year it was 250, so many cities will be cut from the 2011 tour. Only cities with (a) large crowds, (b) good CD sales at shows or online, and (c) a very large fan group - will be guaranteed to have a show in 2011. To help your city compete to become Fox's #1 fan base, and make sure Fox comes to your city in 2011, go to your local group and invite all of your local friends to join... that way the numbers will multiply very quickly indeed! There will be monthly updates of which local fan groups are leading the way.

It's March and Spring is coming! At least I think it's March. I've been in the studio night and day and I've forgotten what the world looks like! Did the clocks go back or something? I'm confused!

Hi everyone,

There are very exciting times ahead if you're a fan of my music or my message. Lots of news this week. Firstly, I need your help. Secondly, the pre-sale for my 3rd album is this coming month. Sun March 21st at Noon EST! Only 500 copies will be sold and they will be numbered and extremely personalized! My tour schedule is updated, and we have 2 live videos for you on my channel: "Oxford" live in MS, and a comical parody in Houston, TX! Plus there's your chance to vote for Team Jack or Team Edward at the end!

I NEED YOUR HELP

I really do not like asking for help, and I only do it when it is absolutely necessary and an album, or a tour, or my continuation in music, depends upon it. Also, I'm not a big fan of money, so writing stuff like this makes me a little queasy. I have relied upon sporadic donations and generous tips from my wonderful fans, to keep spreading these messages of peace and love. And you have never, ever let me down. You are amazing. Now it is a time when I need your help, once again.

Once or twice a year I really, genuinely need some support to keep me going. And right now, I really, really need your help. I would not ask you if I didn't absolutely have to. It's not your job to keep me going in music, but I know a lot of you pride yourself on supporting it not only through listening and buying CDs, but also sending me a little something to keep me going forward and making this music. It is for a very good cause and of course I make absolutely zero profit from this - nor have I ever. I play for free, and all I need is enough to keep going. :)

Based on the donations and sales from the last tour, I've made it through the winter, and I'm close to finishing the new album. However, my last $5,000 was spent on arranging the manufacturing costs for the new album, and I am down to virtually nothing. In order to be able to eat, and get my car ship-shape for the upcoming tour, now would be a wonderful time for any of you that would like to help out... to help out. I haven't asked you all to help since the incident in New York City when you all donated more than the $900 cash to more than make up for what happened to me there.

Spreading messages of peace and love and playing for free is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't quite get you by. You - my fans and friends - are what get me by. I hope you know I wouldn't ask if I didn't need to. Two new live performance music videos now available on my channel!

The first is my now-infamous live performance of "Do They Know It's Xmas?" which will be featured on the forthcoming third Fox Elipsus album. This was recorded live in Houston, TX on the Momentum tour in late 2009. As you can hear: Houston is one of the loudest crowds you will find anywhere! Essentially, if you like, this can be taken as a live video of the first single from my new album, if you can call a 2-minute parody from the 80's a "single". I was touched by this movie when I saw it a few years ago, and so since I am writing to 100,000 people today, I would like to take this opportunity to use that sort of massive outreach to try and do something positive. WHAT'S GOING ON?!

It's freezing up here, and I'm huddled inside under a heat blanket, making my 3rd album and looking forward to touring half of the western world when the weather starts picking up in the Spring. I hope I get to meet all of you that are out there, reading... and those of you that already met me this year or last, I hope to see you again!

It's been an incredible year, better than I imagined... thousands of CD sales (which combined with the donations, managed to keep me alive and making music)... almost 60,000 fans now on facebook (and who knows how many, not on facebook!)... and a real belief that the next decade, which begins in a few weeks, could be the defining decade for my music career. I hope so. We shall see. I believe that in 10 years I'll still be doing this, and a few more people will be reading my newsletters... but only time will tell.

If it wasn't for my promoters, I would never have come this far, and this Xmas I'd like to give thanks, and I'd like all of my fans to give thanks too, to these wonderful people that have worked and rallied voluntarily, from the first day of the year until now, to really make this year special. There are too many of you to name, but every one of you has been absolutely amazing this year, and you should be truly proud of yourselves.

I do still need your charity, more than ever. With a new record on the way, that means equipment, marketing and production costs, followed by an ambitious tour that begins in the Spring. SNOW IN AFRICA...

I'm going to leave you with a word from Bob Geldof and a bunch of people with bad hair. I know sometimes I sound like Bob Geldof with my passionate pleas on behalf of the poor, but believe me, I'm proud to sound like that man. And he was right. There is no better time to think about the people that have nothing, than now, when some of us (not myself) are dropping extraordinary amounts of money on cards, lights, decorations, an abundance of food, gift bags (gift bags... really?), electronics, and presents aplenty, for the ones we love, and a few others, too. I hope you have an amazing holiday season, but do spare a thought for the other ones. Perhaps you can give just a little this coming year to the people of Africa that need it the most (watch my Living In Luxury video). Or even the less fortunate families in Europe and America, who are genuinely struggling to keep a roof over their heads. We can't do much individually, but not doing much is better than not doing anything at all.

But say a prayer... pray for the other ones...

It really isn't that hard to Feed The World, you know. When it finally happens, we'll call it a miraculous accomplishment, but it really isn't a miracle. It's a crime that it hasn't happened yet. A lot of people blame the leaders of the various countries for this, but in truth, if everyone on earth wanted to make sure nobody on earth went hungry... I don't think they would go hungry. Humans can accomplish anything - we've already proven that so many times. And we have more than enough to go around, don't we.

Only We Can Set Us Free...

Hi :)

People sometimes ask me why I do this, how I started. I don't do this to make music and see the world, alone. That's fun but those are just perks. They're not the underlying factors. Do what you love? Yes, I agree. But that's not what started this, for me. I do this because I want to make a difference. I want to stand up for the things that are underrepresented in our music and our culture. Equality, unity, peace, animals, and the environment. I do this because I have no other choice. I have to try, and convince as many people as humanly possible, to try along with me. So many people died for peace, and it's the least I can do to live for it... and sing for it. Because when I was young, I had a dream, and I'm still holding on to what I believe: all of the people controlling our own destiny... all of us equal, in a world that's peaceful.

And that is what my brand new, most ambitious, most important, and somewhat controversial new music video is all about. We also have a Thanksgiving special offer (only available until Thursday), and we have lots and lots of photos of me (I have no idea why you would want to see such a thing) for you to vote on, to decide which pix will be used on my websites and on my 3rd album! For all people. A song for peace, and about the dream of people coming together, and the power of people when we do. Wow, I am impressed.
I am impressed by the fact that this is going out to at least 50,000 of you today. I always intended to build a massive movement for peace and love and to bring meaning back to music, but I didn't realize it would go from zero to 88 miles per hour so quickly. I am thrilled, and excited, and impressed, to say the least. Today we have a new music video, a lot of thank yous, and I reveal a few other artists that might also move you.

THE TOUR SO FAR - AND HOW GRATEFUL I AM
I've now played 298 shows this year, and by the end of the year it will be 369 (just so I can say I played more shows than there were days in the year). I hope you will join me at one of the 68 remaining shows. It will be worth it :) Every show is free, and they have been getting larger and more enjoyable for everyone lately.

In fact, I'd like to just tell you how grateful I am... and how much it moves me... and rocks my world... when these things happen...

- when I see CD sales through my website http://www.elipsus.net - For someone who lives in my car, it is these sales that pay my gas money, and for the food that fuels the drive to continue.
- when you offer gifts, money, shelter, photo shoots, promotional assistance (and sometimes your... er... bodies) to try and help me reach the world in any way you can. Some of you have gone above and beyond and without you - there is no way I would have made it this far.

Once you're there, it's fun for everyone, but it takes a certain amount of effort to actually come out and try something new... don't think I don't know that - and truly appreciate it - that so many of you continue to do so, day in and day out.

- when I look into my audience and see you singing back the lyrics to my songs. Do you have ANY idea how much that means to me? It is a beautiful thing. Keep doing it!
- when you request specific songs of mine, that you know from previous shows, or the internet, or from the CDs you already have. It really makes me smile to know you know my songs!
- when you tell me that something I have done, said, written, or sung about, has had a positive influence on you, your life, or someone you know.
- when day after day, my promotional team goes out of their way to keep the music alive by spending hours and hours doing everything that I could never do alone.
